Do you know that elite athletes live less than people living in the blue zones? On the other hand, a sedentary lifestyle also decreases lifespan. If we stress the body too much we suffer, if we are sedentary we also suffer. How to find then, the perfect balance between activity and rest?

One of the best strategies to improve the sensibility over the body is to practice yoga regularly. With a better sensibility over the body and with more concentration it’s easier to make right decisions. Only with a regular practice we can understand precisely how our muscles and joints are, and what exactly they can offer.

Result of a regular practice, the fine perception over the body will let clear for us if we are practicing too much or too little activity. That´s why I like to say that Yoga improves the self-management. We are not practicing just to get more strength or flexibility, we are practicing instead  to achieve a different level of perception over the body and mind.

In the journey of investigating the physical body regularly, we are investigating as well our mind, emotion and feelings. The wisdom we build with Yoga, the capacity of making good choices and decisions, is connected not only with a clear perception over the body, but mostly due a better insight over ourselves. We need to know exactly how our emotions and feelings are and discover what we need to heal. Self-management is an art. We can only extract our best capacities if we respect our physical and emotional possibilities.

The perfect discernment to decide when we need more movement or more rest will just flourish with a regular self-study.

We will discuss the best tips for get older healthier in the next Online Satsanga. 30th July from 10 to 11:30.
